Did you know there are other illnesses out there that have similar symptoms to Lupus and a lot of the times get misdiagnosed or overlooked because of the similarities?

Here are a few that are generally crossed:

• Autoimmune thyroid disease

• Celiac disease

• Myasthenia gravis

• Antiphospholipid syndrome

• Rheumatoid arthritis

• Polymyositis

• Dermatomyositis

• Scleroderma

• Sjögren’s syndrome

Some of these even overlap or exist along with Lupus.  

If you feel your symptoms are being lumped together because you've already been diagnosed with one, talk to your doctor.  If you don't feel like you they are listening get a second opinion.
